New Orleans Mist

This landscape is a celebration of the color purple. An unexpected color choice for a landscape; but not for a quiet rebellion to the endless landscapes of neutral colored houses, green trees, blue skies and white clouds.

Purple is the color of power, associated with both spirituality and nobility. Once, its use was restricted only to royalty. It provides a sense of mystery and excitement; combining a strong warm and a strong cool color. Resulting in the calming effects of blue and the excitement of red. Some say that purple can boost the imagination and creativity.
